I'd love to hear from you! I treasure the letters I get from readers. Here are some excerpts from favorites:

"Thank you for teaching us about writing and being an author. We appreciate you coming to our school just to see our class...When you left we turned our bookshelves up and down and all around, to find you books. Even a lot of the boys started reading the Fairy Blossoms and Princess Power books."

"My daughter has fallen in love with your books. On nights that my wife reads with her, I find I miss out on the stories and have to ask her what has happened. The Princess Power series is just fabulous. I hope that you are able to continue with more after #6."

"Some of my friends that are boys read Princess Power and said you rocked!" (from a fourth grader)

"I really like your books about Lysandra, Elena, Tansy, and Fatima." [Princess Power books]

"I want to become a writer when I grow up [any hints?]. You inspire me so-o-o-o much!"

"I think you're cool."

"I like the book of Gordon and the New Girl [Book #4 of Third Grade Friends]. I like when Maria said, 'Caramba!' It makes me laugh. My class loved that you wrote a very funny story that made us laugh. Thank you!"

"Your book--Third Grade Friends--got my 2nd grader to love reading."

"I was shocked when I found out [in Hilary's Super Secret, Book #3 of Third Grade Friends] that Freddie was a ____. [Sorry. I won't reveal what the letter said here because I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise if you haven't read the book!] I really thought Mrs. Foster was in love with Mr. Stenson and I thought because of the flat tire and the missing guitar. But I was very very extremeley wrong."

"On my seventh birthday my parents gave me a book called, can you guess? No? It was Library Lil! They knew I would like it because my name is Lilian and I absolutely adore reading!"

"Today in school my class got done with Third Grade Friends, Here's Hilary [Book #1]. My teacher spelled Hilary H-i-l-l-a-r-y. I got to go see if the liebery has some of your books."

"Library Lil arrived at the Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library about the end of January. I was so impressed with the story and illustrations that I asked my favorite children's book store to order ten copies for me to give to school libraries, teachers, library science teachers and children. I recommend that all librarians read this book. It should even be on the 'Required Reading' list for library science students."

"I have a story idea for a new book about Hilary. You could write a story about Hilary as a grownup. Hilary and Gordon are married and have a daughter named Chloe. They live in London."

"Thank you so much for coming and sharing your life with us. My favorite book that you made is "Here's Hilary" because I used to have the same [messy] desk as Hilary."

"My two year old daughter, Hannah, and I recently checked out Mommy Doesn't Know My Name from the library. We have fallen in love with it! We have read it every night and she loves to finish all the sentences."

"I read your book, My Dog Never Says Please. My favorite part was when the girl wanted seconds on pie and licked her plate. You sure are funny."

"My five year old daughter and I have read Library Lil many times. It's a great addition to the library I am carefully selecting for my daughter of books with intelligent, interesting, strong, and funny women and girl characters."
